University Grant Commission (UGC) has issued the notification for their National Eligibility Test which is going to be held on December 2013. The candidates who are interested to take part in the exam can fill up their application form online sitting at home till the date 30 October 2013.

UGC NET is a national commission which conducts NET exam two times in a year. It is being conducted in June and in December. This exam is a national level entrance exam and is conducted  to select the post graduate candidates who want to get selected for Junior Research Fellowship which is also known as JRF scholarship. The candidates are also selected for the job of Assistant Professor. NET exam is conducted in 90 different types of fields or disciplines. For the Science and Technology related stream, the exam is conducted by both the CSIR and UGC  NET jointly and rest of the disciplines are organized by UGC itself.

This exam is considered to be the India’s toughest exam ever.

The exam is conducted for both lectureships and doctorate (PhD).

HOW TO APPLY ONLINE 

The candidates can submit their application through the official website of UGC NET online applications  . The candidate should carry a passport size photograph scanned to upload while applying. The photo size should not be more than 300 KB. After the submission process of application candidate will take the print out of challan copy of SBI and submit their fee in the bank branch. After submission of application they will have to check their application after 2-3 days.

ELIGIBILTY CONDITIONS

The candidates who have passed their Post-Graduation from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks and 50% in case of SC/ST candidates can apply for UGC NET .

METHOD OF PAYMENT

  1. The the candidates registered for the NET exam on the official website of the UGC NET will have to download the Challan after entering their details.
  2. After downloading the Challan copy the candidate will have to deposit the fee in the bank, but on the next day of the filling of the application.
  3. After 2 or 3 days candidates are required to check their application status that whether their fee has been submitted or not.
